Will a Gen3 rear strut rod fit on a Gen1 or Gen2?

Was at the junkyard today and was checking out a Gen3 SLO. The rear strut rods seem beefier and less prone to flex.

NO they are shapped differently. Oh and just incase your wondering neither will the lower control arms (shorter).
