Eh, I'm bored tonight and thought i'd get a poll to see if I can get a few peoples' opinions about the wraparound stripe that originally was on all Gen I SHO's. Personally, I like the stripe depending on the color of the car, white would probably be my favorite! Let me know what you guys and gals think.:thumb:

On mine when I painted it I tried it both ways; I ended up with no stripe. I did, however, black out the "B" and "C" pillers and install painted door handles in the style of the '94's and '95s.

I plan to paint the stripe body color when I do the repaint some day. I was planning on a repaint this summer, but once again I feel the need for some more speed so the paint money will go into a 3.6 upgrade and coil overs.

my red 89 just got the lower bodyside moldings repainted and I insisted that the black insert be redone as well.In my opinion it helps accent the door handles, side mirror trim, and tires...I think the guy`s at Ford did a great styling job on the gen 1

I agree, I do think its a good accent for the car. I thought about painting them white at one point, but I figured that would be wasted work that I need to do elsewhere on the car...

Yeah, that's right. You non-Plus drivers can keep your stripe. Keeps mine looking better.

Isn't your car low enough Bob? Hehe.
I would want to keep the same ride height if I got the coil overs. I was think about increasing my spring rates.

Matt....I will probably keep the linears since its too hard to replace.

It depends on the car and my mood. It's nice to have both options.
