For the first time since buying my car I saw another Gen 3 and it was right around the corner from my house in Altamonte Springs. :)

i remember the first time i saw a Gen I or II....i was driving down a street in des moines, and i see this red 2nd gen taurus with nice big rims on it. I slow down to see if it's a SHO. I get closed, and yes it is, but wait, what is that beside it? A green 2nd gen SHO, and what is that parked on the street, a red 3rd gen SHO, and what is parked in front of the 2 2nd gens? Another 2nd gen AND another 3rd gen! I slam on the brakes and see even ANOTHER third gen in the garage. It's SHO Shock.

I get all excited and warm and fuzzy inside whenever i see another SHO, half the time the other person doesn't even realize i'm driving one too unless he has a 3rd gen as well.

My thing is the 3rd gen's are alittle harder to decipher for a distance for me.. I realize that the bumper covers are different but sometimes from a distance you cant tell. From the butt of course that's easy... 2nd gens are a snap to spot from any distance... I think that's why my color frustrates me so much... it's just everywhere.

It's always a treat to see another SHO on the road.
Last month, I saw a parked genIII on my way too a date. Didnt have time too stop, but on my way back from the restaurant I did. I left him a note under the wiper-blade telling him about the cam problem and some websites to visit.
I can only hope I helped save another SHO from the wrecking ball.

sadly tho most people with v8 SHOs dont know about the cam problems and drive them until they die.
most dont even know what they got.
i seen 2 in person to date, up in saint mary's PA at the Wal-Mart i wanted to wait around see who it was but i didnt think they would be thrilled with the idea and more so if they didnt know what was special about the car
the second one i seen was on the side of the road on 11/15 heading to harrisburg both were maroon.
i think thats a very common color with gen 3 SHOs much like the green for gen 2s

Agreed, I find it easy to spot them. But I am always noticing weird things going on while out and about.

Maybe my thing is there are at least 4 SLO's in my area with the SHO spoiler so from a distance your like Oh a SHO and when you get up there to it your disappointed to find a poser. but could be my eyes too.... not as great as they use to be.

I can see this now " dude, nice car now if you don't know already the cams are bad in these cars so get them welded or car will blow up, no telling when just that the will.... Visit these web site and have a nice day"

Around central Minnesota there are dozens and dozens of SHOs. Gen 1, 2 and 3s are very common sites. If I drove for an hour around town I'm sure I'd see at least 1 every day.

There used to be a black Gen 3 SLO that had a SHO spoiler on it and some cheap American Racing wheels at an apartment building I used to live at.

A couple weeks ago I saw 2 other Gen 3 SHOs within a few seconds of each other, one silver and one red. I also saw a black Gen 3 SHO in town that had to have at least 19 or 20" wheels on it.

I wonder if PPl are just putting a SHO spoiler on a SLO or there were a fewthat came from the factory like that, that would be had to beleive but were talking about ford. Its kinda funny to think some are driving around in there SLO's thinking "boy I like that spoiler I have to ge me one of those" and alot of use are diving around thinking "god I hate my spoiler"

their is a guy in my town witha 02 Monte SS with 19 or 20 inch wheels, he goes through tires like every month but he's loaded so I guess he doesn't care :( I think he'd be better off to just pay the money and get a new car :(

The wheels didn't look terrible, but I like my 17s better. I think they fit the overall size of the SHO better.

I've never heard of a SLO coming of the line with a SHO spoiler. My guess is that the SLO was damaged and a body shop put on a trunk lid from a SHO with dead engine.
It's still a poser. :nono:
