Gen 2 ZF Rack Retrofit

Does anyone know how to connect the 96-99 ZF rack VAPS to the 95 Gen 2 VAPS system? I have all of the items for the conversion and I already put the Gen 3 subframe in. Now I just need to know how to hook up the electronics.

Sorry if this is a repeat topic. I've been searching for an answer without any success.

I'm not aware that anyone has hooked one up using VAPS.

Nope, I don't think anyone has used the gen 2 VAPS. Jelloslug wired in the gen 3 SARC controller (controls firmness of steering and struts) on his though. I considered doing it, and have the SARC module, but never did it.

So you're saying that I have to have the SARC controller for the variable assist on the ZF rack to function? Is everyone else using the rack without the variable assist? How do you set it up?

That's what I'm saying...yes I'm using it without the variable assist. It is at it's lowest assist setting as installed.

You have to use the SARC module from a gen III to get it to work.
