would a late model mustang gauge pod fit the Gen III. I would really like to stick some Ford Racing gauges to touch it off. I'm not sure if they would fit. Also any part numbers and manufactuers that some of you have used would be appreciated.

Go to www.summitracing.com and look up the dual guage pod for the 94-00 mustangs with the 2 1/16" guages . It will work fine as long as you use the furnished push-pin connectors with some sort of epoxy to mount it to the A-pillar.

If you are not a smoker, you might consider tossig the ash tray. You can then fit a 4 instrument cluster into there without major problems. I did this a couple of years ago and am very happy with the result.

Yes, two Autometer and two old Borg Warner I had sitting around. 2 1/16 inch I think. Had no real trouble fitting it in. When you pull the entire ash tray assembly out, there is actually a lot of space there.

I might have a digital photo still around some wher, so if you need it for sizing or something, let me know and I will look around for it and email it to you.
