Gas Tank?

I'm posting this here because I would like to see if anyone local has something. My gas tank is leaking really badly around the seam. I've repaired it once (and the repair is doing fine), but it's really leaking all the worse now. I have an 18.6 gallon, but I'll take whatever I can get. I would try for a junk yard, but don't they usually drill holes in the tanks to empty the gas? Thank you for reading!

Junk yards will have gas tanks. I dont think they cut them untill they are about to be crushed, or sent off for scrap metal.

I'm not sure about MI, but when I replaced my 16 gallon tank 2 summers ago, I bought a new aftermarket tank from a place near Buffalo, NY called Abbott Radiator for less than $120. If you have to replace the tank, I would recommend a new one or a used southern tank. I also belive there are websites that specialize in selling new aftermarket tanks for fairly cheap. try to google something.

I too would advocate a new tank unless you can get one for free. Nudge Nudge. Come out to rochester and i got two to choose from. One was in a southern car.

Timbo...worry not. I've got a southern tank just kinda chillin in my garage. It's the 18 gallon one, too....I've no use for it..I was just using it for storage of my walbro fuel pump


Anywho, if you want, come get this puppy......it'll save you a drive to the other side.
