I have a gap, about .5-.75 inches between my fron bumper, and the bottom of the headlights.. how can I pull the bumper up to close the gap? I can fift it with my hands to close, but I dont know how to keep it there.. are some clips broken or something?

I was starting to think I was the only one with that problem. Is it something common?

Ford used crappy plastic x-mas tree type things to hold the bumper covers on. Front and rear. I my old 93 GL I had the smae problem except it was with the rear cover coming away from the fender. Built ford tough! :D

one of 2 things to look for (I had the same problem), the christmas trees on the top lip of the bumper cover (by the hood latch), if there there then they are fine. Now the other... you've got 3 main parts to your front bumper.

1) bumper cover, 2) actual bumper, 3) 2 bumper insulators (look like shocks to me.

If its lowered that much and the trees are fine then either you were in a small fender bender and the shocks have been compressed a little bit, or another off chance is that the actual bumper is sagging. either one of these requires some effort to fix.

If you want details let me know, i had a minor bump last year and propped a grand am off its rear tires (um... oops). I had to put my SHO on a frame rack to pull it out but it looks almost brand new now (minus a chip in the paint).

Also a good time to take a good look at your radiator, replace if neccessary. or replace those useless factory fogs with some Pilots, of Blazers!

I had that problem as well... We determined that the bumper cover was sagging due to HOT Arizona heat. I fixed it by taking out the push pins on top(6 of them), pulling the cover upward, drill new holes, and then install new pushpins. Worked great for me.
