One benefit of dealing directly with a pad provider is that they'll help you select a track compound based on the weight of your car and what you're doing. Porterfield and Carbotech have both been helpful to me this way.

They give discounts to NASA members if that applies to anyone.

Yeah, but I didn't see a way to order online, and I have become opposed to ordering stuff over the phone. Their site "seems" to indicate that you can, but I couldn't find a way.
