Because the zex kit boost ur fuel pressure like "alot"(idk how much exaclty, some1 here probably knows)

I wouldn't be surprised if ur SHO has 120k plus on its 15-21 year old ORIGINAL fuel pump. So for peace of mind its a good idea to upgrade the stocker due to the extra strain the kit will put on the fuel pump. And its only 100 bucks too. Plus u have room to use the 100hp pills:evilgrin: Dont forget about getting some copper plugs either.

Nitrous Oxide is an oxidizer. The only way it works is when you add enough fuel to support combustion. In a Dry Manifold kit like a Zex Kit (not a fan), it gets the additional fuel by increasing the fuel pressure causing the injectors to spray more fuel. In a wet manifold system like our Pro Fogger systems we build, the fuel comes from an additional fuel jet in the nozzles. All of this extra fuel has to come from somewhere. A larger volume fuel pump can supply this fuel volume. Without it, the pressures will fall off and the engine will run lean and bad things happen.

It should be noted that the only wet kits that should be used are fogger kits that place a port for each cylinder.Standard wet kits will quickly distroy your engine.

Agreed. We recommend the ones we build that look like this:
