fuel pump

is there any thing i should know before i tackle changing the pump?

Just run the fuel as low as you can, if it is still running, but leave enough to get to a gas station. Also if it is still running, trip the fuel pump relay in the trunk to releave the pressure, just hit it lightly as the engine is running and wait for it to run out of gas.
