fuel pump runs when cars is off

WITH NO ONE IN THE CAR YOU CAN HEAR THE PUMP COME ON AND THE WARNING LIGHTS WHEN YOU FIRST PUT THE KEY IN BUT THE ENGINE IS NOT RUNNING.I AM OUT OFF THE CAR NO KEY IN, IT JUST STARTS THE PUMP AND WARNING LIGHT ON. IT KEPT ON FOR DOING THIS FOR ABOUT A HOUR THEN STOP BY ITSELF. mOTOR IS NOT ON

Sounds like the ignition switch is worn out. You get pump running and warning light on, both when the key is not in the switch? Another possibility is the black box at the top of the radiator. It contains the relay that sends power to the pump. And the ignition switich tells that relay when to energize.
