where is the fuel pump relay at on a second gen and is it the same as a first gen? :thankyou:

It is the CCRM above the radiator on the driver side.

No they are different for the Gen1, 2 and ATX versus MTX.

The box is in the same location in both Gen1 and Gen2, but the boxes used have subtly different innards.

Generally speaking, in regards to SHOs, it works like this:

Type M: 89-93 MTX
Type D: 94-95 MTX
Type J: 93-95 ATX

It's not as simple as having one "Gen1 CCRM" and one "Gen2 CCRM".

Unless I've been misinformed, I believe that a Gen1 SHO CCRM will work in a '92 or '93 MTX (and vice versa), as they both use J CCRMs.

As you said earlier its based on the code. So an M code will work where an M code has worked. A D code will not work where an M code worked.
