Which is better a stock fuel pump or in line fuel pump? Where do you put inline pumps on SHOs? Can you run both at the same time? Which is the best pump you can get for an SHO?

Not unless your stock pump is going out on you & can't supply the needed fuel. Upgrading to a higher-capacity pump will allow for more serious mods in the future, and will also allow the pump to work less (?).aviator:
is there any performance gain going with another pump? my oem seems to be fine, just looking for ideas.
Did you read what Scott said above? If not, go back and read it. You don't want to install a second inline fuel pump. If your pump is bad, replace it with a new unit. The best deal out there is for the 190 l/hr Walbro fuel pump from Auto Performance Engineering http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/. $87 delivered and included everything you need to do the fuel pump replacement. You want the FPF016 kit. You might want to also replace the fuel return line check valve while you're in there. That's a small dealer only part.ShoMeWhatIWantToKnow:
if my pump is bad, my stock pump, would it hurt to try an inline pump? my car wont accelerate quickly and i was told it may be the fuel pump. Would i bea able to tell if the stock pump is bad.
Every day for the past week and a half I've been even more amazed at how quiet my new fuel pump is (now that I replaced the back seat). The sound you're describing is most likely fuel sloshing back and forth in the tank. In my experience the SHO has the NOISIEST fuel tank of any car I've ever driven. In all other cars I'll never hear fuel sloshing back and forth when coming to a stop. In the SHO it's quite pronounced. It's just the nature of the beast. SHO's have noisy ass fuel tanks.sticker500:
I just replaced my fuel pump this weekend. I bought the 190lph pump from APE.
It came quick and with EVERYTHING.
The only extra part I purchased was the check valve from the dealer which they said was backordered from the MFG. They found me one.
When I turn the key without starting I still get the "gurgling and groaning" sound from the fuel pump area after a drive. New redesigned check valve but still have problem.
I replaced the valve because when I come to a stop and the car is idling I sometimes hear this noise that sounds like a drum "pattering" I know that isn't a real word.. I heard it again today shrug
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott
