Fuel pump cut off swich.

I just replaced my fuel filter following the shotimes instructions which tell you to trip the cut-off swich. I think im sure i followed the instructions well, though it wont stop humming when i drive (fuel pump i guess,10 min drive). Can anyone tell me whats up and or how to fix it. Pleasethankyou

Was it humming before you decided to replace the filter? Could be a pump on its way out. If not, and it only started after you replaced the filter, maybe you put it in backwards and it's not flowing fuel properly. Or you could have whacked the fuel relay button and disturbed the ground? That one's out there.

actually i took off my neg cable for like 30 secs and started it up and it went away.
