We have spent alot of money on our old 95 sho in the last 3 weeks trying to keep it going. First issue, dies while driving, we changed the fuel pump and filter. It worked for about 6 miles, died again. When it dies it won't start until it sets for 45 min. After that it sometimes goes another 6 miles, or it may go 100 yards. Burned up the starter with this problem., fixed that. We got a ford tech who told us that it had to be the ignition module. changed that, it worked great, drove around for an hour. The next day, drove 6 miles, died, checked the con. on the module, fired back up. Now if we keep the rpm's above 1000 it runs. Let it below and the next stop it will die. I know this is long but I'm tired of fixing everything else, any ideas.

I don't know, I was told that when it started that it was acting like a fuel pump getting hot and shutting down, so thats where we started. I will try the codes this weekend, don't have time before. thanks again

Checking codes doesn't take more than 2 minutes.
A) Grab and un-bend a paper clip into a "U" shape
B) Pop the hood and find the "EEC Self-Test" Box (it's on the rear pass side of the engine bay) and pop the cover off.
C) Stick One end of the paper clip into the single gray connector and the other into the top left connector

It would be pin #2 it that ^ was a diagram.

D)Turn key to "on" and watch the check engine light.

If you suspect a fuel issue when you start the car push the pedal all the way to the floor and give it a few good cranks. If the car's running real rich it will flood the cylinders with fuel and stop you from being able to turn the car over. Completely pressing the pedal cuts off the injectors until the cars cranks up.

Sounds like CPS/CSS issue or just a dirty connection.

What is the cps/css? My 92 is doing the same thing. It throws the code fuel pump ground fault.
