Fuel Pressure? Fuel Pump?

1994 ATX 3.2L

I checked the fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the intake and got the following KOEO=27 KOER=35

Is this normal? I think these numbers are low.

Yes, they are low. Should be at 39 psi or so. When you did the KOEO, was the pump running? It should hold the pressure for a bit even after the pump turns off.

Start by replacing the fuel filter.

When I did the KOEO test, the pump did prime as it usually does. It held the pressure around 27psi, then slowly started to drop. When I checked it with the KOER and with WOT it maxed out at 40psi.

Check it when the car is idling. Should be 35 at idle, 40 when you pull the vacuum hose off and block it.

Normal range is 30 during high vacuum periods such as engine braking, 35 cruise or idle, 40 at WOT.
