I cut a poly fuel line while removing an engine. can the lines be spiced or do i have to replace the entire line?

On another note can the lines be replaced with braided steel?

well my car had a nice little cut in it so i got a fuel line barb and just cut the line and slide the barb in each side then put rubber hose over it and clamped each side, probably cost me like 5 dollars for everything.

The set of lines will cost over $120 if they're still available. That's crazy. The lines are not available individually, it at all anymore.

Just pick up a barbed splice from NAPA or Advance Auto Parts and install it with some hose clamps. My 89 has had one in the supply line for four years.

IIRC Advance had the fuel line repair kits over by the wiper blades... Nova, where in MD are you? I'm moving back to Balto at the end of the month!

Im on the eastern shore, right next to the maryland / delaware state line. I moved back here after spending 12 years in Kalifronia. I have been back here 13 years. Best choice I ever made.

Unfortunately I have to move back for financial/job reasons. The steel mills around here are the towns... They are dying, I can't bring myself to drive to Pittsburgh for a $10/hr job at these gas prices and sit in traffic. I've been unemployed for almost 10 months and no unemployment left... Yeah, I know there'll be traffic in B'more, too. My Mom and step-dad offered for us to live with them for awile till we got better off. I'm originally from there. My wife is from here. I love how quiet it is here... Dunno where we will go when we're ready... I added you to my buddy list, gimme a hollar whenever you head toward B'more!

They have a locking connector that should have been released It would have been better if this was done.... I had to do this repair and the proceedure is get a cup of boiling water and place the end of the line in it to soften it and then push it back on the proper barbed connector. Fact;Boiling water will burn fingers!

NAPA has what you are looking for they have different set ups.

Item: No: 730-4911 QuickDisConnect Unions for Nylon Fuel Lines. it will cost about between 2 to 5 dollars very easy to fix, a 5/16" should be the size you will need they have other sizes but i think 5/16" will do.
