Is it flooded? Try holding the gas pedal down while you crank. If you don't change the PCM programming for larger injectors then too much fuel gets injected at start up as this comes from fixed tables.

ok, after takin off the upper intake manifold and reasembling it it starts up. i just installed the larger fuel pump to see if this would help it out. it starts fine now but after like 3 minutes it starts to wobble in the idle from 1000rpm to 1300rpm. should i be worried about that or not because of the mods ive done to it?

do you have cams and a lightweight flywheel or both, that can cause an irratic idle? Also do you have an adjustable FPR to use with the 255 pump, that can also cause problems if you don't?:)

i dont have cams or flywheel, its most likely because i have the stock fpr. i just took her out for a spin and she ran fine up to bout 5000rpm, then it seemed like the stock fpr couldnt handle fuel after that.

What mods do you have?
Unless you're boosted you don't need a 255lph pump.

Running a blower car without a tune? Keep running it and you'll never sell it unless someone wants a blown up one for $1000.

Until you can have the car properly tuned, just park it. You've advertised the car as an unfinished project, just leave it that way rather than screw it up. An FPR is in order.

Did you have to modify anything for those 39ers?
