Well I wouldn't think so... Its probally crappy made mounts!
I modified a regular taurus solid motor mount maybe it will hold better now!

Just to let you know that urethane mod is really only temporary and I have tried it on my 94 and it lasted about 6 months. It is a great mod it is just not a 'real' solid mount.
Do you guys know the differences between the GEN 2 & GEN 3 atx front mounts?
I currently produce solid front motor mounts for the GEN 2 ATX. It is described and pictured in my GEN 3 subframe swap thread and for sale ad.
If I find enough info I would be more than happy to produce one's for the GEN 3's. From what I understand the GEN 3 SLO uses the same front mount as the GEN 2 atx which means the SHO is most likely the same.
If I were to make some would anybody be interested?
It would be shipped and ready to bolt in for $100.

To be honest, that is a horrible way to accomplish the same result as a solid mount. To each his own I guess.

Not trying to start sh*t man. There is a difference, it just obviously isn't one that your concerned about. All I'm saying is that wrapping a chain around the motor to the subframe is a ghetto way of accomplishing it. That is an old school way guys used to hold their blocks down back in the days.
I'm really not hating, and for it working better...It probably works the same. With more vibration and a level of risk that I just wouldn't take. I'm trying to help you guys out though. I don't own a GEN 3 but I'm willing to work one out for you guys.

Transmitting vibration the same way per say a y-pipe would do if it was rubbing against the subframe or tranny pan for some reason. There is only one advantage of a chain over a solid mount...it's a money saver.

Saving money is something to look down upon? It does not transmit vibration unless you are under power and have tension on it. Then you don't care. But when cruising or idling then no vibration.
Go over on the Gen 2 forums and say what you want.
The V8 is perfectly suited for this as there is a hole already in the subframe directly under the manifold. Not the case with the other SHOs.
