front side marker light

Finally got around to replacing the front side marker light bulbs today. Had replacements hanging in the garage for, oh, maybe 2 years! I knew it would be a royal PITA and it was. Decided to completely remove the inner fender liners so I could get my arm where it needed to go. I don't have large hands but could not get them either released or reinstalled without some long reach needle nose pliers. I put a bit of dielectric grease on the bulb socket seals before reinstalling them to reduce the friction and that helped. Good luck to anybody doing this.

They really are the biggest pain to change on this platform, I used a long skinny flathead and stuck it in the socket, turned to unlock and pulled socket back to me.

The passenger side burned out on mine, so I decided to replace them. Started on the driver side, pulled the inner fender back, got the old one out, and could not for the life of me get it back in. Tried by hand, with long needle nose pliers, screwdrivers...figured I'd have to completely remove the wheel and inner fender. I really did not want to get into that at the time lol and since the passenger one was already burned out I just left it out. Legend says it's still hanging there empty to this day. But at least the sides match.

I feel your pain. I just couldn't get where I needed to be to get to them by pulling the liners back with the wheels on.

I'll get in there and fix it one of these days. But not today!

I took the same approach and I think both of mine had been out (dimmed and barely lit) so long that I thought it was normal.

Caught heck removing them but hopefully my LEDs will outlast the car so I don't have to do it again.

Try the long skinny flathead method, mine is about an foot long, small tip, all I had to do was remove liner, stick flathead in socket and there was enough wiring to pull it close to me to change bulb, but yeah dang, there is just some engineers out there with no common sense on their creations.
