HI all, quick question for the experts. Ive seen alot of problems posted with the rear windows not working. Mine is a little different. Did a search, and didnt come up with much. My passenger front window wont work, or i guess the switch doesnt work, i can operate it via the drivers side, is this the switch, and if it is the switch, what exactly is the "switch". Im picturing the up and down switch thingy. appreciate clarification. Thanks.

It's probably the switch on the driver's door that controls the passenger window. The actual "switch" is the button that you push down on to make the window go up or down. So there are two switches for the passenger door window, the one I just mentioned, and the one on the passenger door panel that you say works OK

The main switch panel containing the switch at issue is easy to get off the driver's door. Pull it off and take a look, clean the connectors off real good, it might even be that easy...

Sorry my description got a little garbbled. I can operate the window via the drivers side switch, but it will NOT operate with the passenger door switch.
Could my problem still be on the drivers side?

You'll want to start your troubleshooting over at the passenger's door window switch then. What I said above still applies. Look for corrosion, a loose connection, etc.

If the passenger window operates from the master switch (driver side), but will not operate from the passenger door switch, it is most likely the passenger door switch.

The individual door switches are all alike. So, try using one of the other door switches in the front passenger door. If it works, then the switch is bad. The switch is about $10 at a Ford dealer, or you could get one from a parts car.

If another switch will not work, then you need to start checking connections and wires. rangerj

rangerj is most likely right. If you don't want to buy another switch, they are easily removed and the contacts can be cleaned with emory paper and contact cleaner spray. They crust up with carbon from the arc when the switch contact is opened (released). This goes for all of the window and seat switches.
