Any REAL life tips on replacing the front pads?? I have the helms and shotimes.com but ALWAYS enjoy some real life tips that I cannot get from those two sources. I assume I dont need that circle disk to turn the piston as I did on the rear???? TIA beer

It's very straightforward, both the Helms and SHOTimes procedures cover everything pretty thoroughly. You won't need the the same tool to retract the piston as the rears, but you will need a caliper spreader tool, which you can borrow for free from AutoZone by leaving a $15 deposit. Some people use a c-clamp, but I don't recommend it for anyone who has never worked on brakes before. If you did the rears already, the fronts will be even easier since you won't have to contend with e-brake cables, but it's basically the same procedure.

Use a piece of wood with the c-clamp to distribute the pressure on the piston. thumbs_u If i remember correctly the torx bit is either 40 or 45.
