With a tune it will be faster than a stock stang..

My GT wasn't a slouch ;) '12 GT Premium, 3.73's, Brembo brakes, comfort package, HID's .... 13.05 @ 108.9mph bone stock, hitting stock fuel cut at the top of 4th around the 1000' mark. I don't remember what the 60's were on my stock runs, I'd have to check when I get home.

With Roush axle-backs, MGW shifter, and a custom tune, my times plummeted to 12.59 @ 113.8mph, still on 19" Pirelli street tires.

With almost 14yo and 11yo daughters, it wasn't practical as a family car. And I don't like to drive my wifes Sorento. :p

I definitely miss the 6 speed 5.0 w the 3.73 gears. Man this thing was fast! I do really miss the throaty growl but I dont miss struggling for traction all tje time. But I am really liking the SHO thus far. I'm in northern Illinois and can't wait to put it to the test this winter.
I too will probably keep it stock (performance wise that is) for quite awhile.

I hear ya on that, I sold my 4x4 truck and my Mustang and picked up the SHO to drive all year round. I'm out in KCMO, probably not as terrible of winters as you get in Northern Illinois, but close to it :D

I got a 93gt.. Not sure 1/4 mile, haven't had it to the track yet. Light car with about 270hp to the tires, should be low 13's. It just feels way different than the sho

I hear ya, I'm a fox chassis fanatic, got an '84 Capri RS and a '79 Capri. There was a night and day difference between the fox chassis and S197 chassis on the Mustangs. The SHO has a LOT more creature comforts, and is very smooth in terms of ride quality, but both it and the '12 GT seemed to exhibit similar acceleration feelings, according to the butt-dyno.

If your fox is at 270 whp, you should be around 12.8-12.9 on drag radials and probably 13.0-13.2 on street tires, depending on how well you drive it. My '79 Capri is sitting right around 330 whp, and while it sounds evil I wouldn't expect it to run any quicker than a mid- to high-12.

I am a little gunshy on drag radials.. I broke an axle about 4 years ago on a 4K launch in my 88. That's why I say low 13's cause I'm not the best driver. But you are prob right with a good driver and dr's

Looks like it's ready to be changed!
Finally got em done. Went with Lamin-X. It's their gunsmoke shade, a bit lighter than what you have I think. This pic is in direct light so it's actually a bit darker.

Yea for now. I will be debadging the taurus emblem though. The SHO emblem will stay but hack off the ecoboost portion.
Hah. I was thinking of going the opposite way with mine, and pulling all the SHO and Ecoboost stuff off the outside. Being that my wheels are optional on the SEL and Limited models, it can be pulled off :p
