Ok, is there a magic way to get the new filter to pop in the hole into place? I've been fighting with it for 30 minutes now and it will NOT go inn.

93 atx. The filter has the orange ****** on it.

Much thanks ahead of time!

Is the old gasket ring stuck in the trans?

I have never needed to use any more pressure than just pushing up with the palm of my hand.

Make sure the body of the filter isn't being held up by some part of the transmission (ie: one of the tubes).

The old gaskets like to get stuck in the tube. Try to get it out with a pick, but be careful not to scratch the wall of the pickup tube.

Edit: DAMMIT I was SECONDS TOO LATE
