Alright, I wrecked my green 92 a while back, and now I'm gettings citations and crap for having it in front of my house. I have until tomorrow morning to get rid of it before the fines and tow-truck start coming. I will be using the only available garage space for my Cavalier (for whatever reason I can't keep it in my driveway I guess). Details on the car:
Green 92 MTX
110,*** miles or so on body, 135,*** miles or so on engine
mostly rear-end damage
suspension is totally shot on rear driver side, might be okay on other corners
steering is definately out of whack (MAJOR toe-in up front)
engine was running very strong
radiator looks fine and isn't leaking
transmission wasn't great
subframe appears to be fine
most all lights and body panels are missing or damaged
cat-back exhaust is trashed
no front brake calipers
no spare/jack
the rear of the frame is damaged
stereo is gone
16" Konig rims, scratched and stuff, but not bent
brand-new Firestone FZ50 (I think) tires on front (best tires I've ever driven on by far)
old Yokohama somethings on backs, driver rear is flat
crank bolthead is stripped
190 lph fuel pump
clip on rear dis plug (on intake crossover) is broken and zip-tied
practically brand new motorcraft wires, and copper Autolite plugs
full tank of Chevron's finest
very fresh (like 50 miles) Valvoline "high-milage" oil and Bosch (I think) filter
interior is in pretty decent condition (normal tears and wear on front seats)
all glass is okay (minus chip in windshield)
shoshop high-flow catted y-pipe
netviper's aluminum subframe bushings
I have a few pictures I can email if wanted
I have the title, clear

The car is FREE if you can come and pick it up sometime before next week.
I guess I have to 'move' (read: 'drag') it every 48 hours, and I don't have time to deal with it right now (full-time at ASU, plus 20 hrs/wk at work, not home until 9:30 tonight). The longer it sits there, the more parts that are coming off though. Starting with the y-pipe, then the wheels, then the fuel pump, then maybe the SFBs, and possibly the interior, wiring harness maybe, you all get the point I'm sure, it's like candy sitting there begging to be taken.

I'm also in the market for a car. $4000 budget. Let me know if you have anything.

P.S. - I know you want it, Tom ;)

Josh,

I'll come and get it right now if you don't strip anything else off of it. PM me your address and phone number for when I get lost. I'm hooking up the trailer as I type this. I am very talented. I've got to have the title with me in case I get stopped.

Sorry Tom, I was still in class when you wrote that, and I forgot to post my cell number. I will be home around 7:00 tonight, and probably won't be going anywhere, so if you want to come and get it everything is still attached.

Address:
2526 W. Orchid Ln.
Chandler, 85224

I'll be there at about 7:00.

What kind of car are you looking for? My advice for young people still in school is a small truck with a 4 banger in it. I know a guy that inherited a really low mileage Nissan pick-up, older style with a carburetor but still low miles. He might be selling it soon. He works for me sometimes but is currently on a disaster management team in Florida. If you're interested, let me know and I'll "work" for you on it.

I've never been a truck person, and I've told all my friends the have bought them that they would regret it and end up buying another car after a short time. I've been right 100% so far, and I don't want to make the same mistake. I'd like to get another SHO-ish car, older, somewhat refined, with a little oomph, but probably not another SHO for now (I'm tired of killing them). I've been looking at Acura Vigors/Legends, old Audi 90/100s, Infiniti G20s, Toyota Cressidas, and the likes. Must be a manual transmission, must have 4 doors, must have power locks and windows, leather and sunroof preferred ;)
In fantasy, I'd like to get a Fiero (was wanting to put the SHO engine in the back :thumb: ), but I have to have enough room to help my mom tote my 4 siblings around on a regular basis.
Besides, if I had a 4-banger truck, I'd be tempted to drop that V8 in it, naturally. So the afore-mentioned cars also supply something else...a very small aftermarket :)

Will do Eric, even though it's pretty simple with the winch and tilt bed. I hope the sub frame isn't bent. I call you.

Josh, Yes all of those cars except for maybe the G20 would suit your requirements. I personally have had love/hate relationships with AUDIs and still like them but they have accelerated a bit past my recreational funds limit lately.

What's wrong with the G20? My Grandma has one, and it's very nice (she should have got a 5-speed though ;) )
It looks like I will probably end up getting this 95 red Audi AWD 90 for $4000. What was the 'hate' part of your relationships exactly?

Tom, I'm not going to be able to get the title notorized by tonight (unless there is someplace besides a bank that does notories that will be open after 6), I hope that's okay. I have it, but it won't be notorized. I'm not sure if that matters, but just wanted to make sure.

Josh,

I have a notary that works for me, no problem.

The love was the handling of my old AUDI 5000S, smooth ride and not a rattle, ever. The hate came in when I wanted to fix it like a Ford or Chevy, I wanted it to be simple, old technology and it wasn't. It was leading edge electronics (at that time) and I wasn't ready for that.

That car was amazing in snow and mud. The entire inline 5 cylinder was in front of the front axle so you had great traction.

See you in a little while.
