Anyone having troubles with there Sirius travel link working properly? I can't get traffic to work anymore. It says call for subscription but the rest of travel link works fine. Sirius can't seem to figure it out, I've spent hours on the phone with them, they are quite useless. Not to mention there systems suck, they can never find my account, they told me tonight I didn't have a radio subscription (which I do), they can never find my other vehicle. No wonder there financials suck they don't know what they heck they are doing.

Anyway, the issue. I just ran out of the 6 month subscription on Dec 1st and when I called on 11/30 to renew there systems were down, and again when I called on the 1st. So of course they can't activate you or get you going to save there lives but they sure know how to shut it off on time. I finally get the radio updated and turned back on when they forgot to turn on travel link. I call back they get that going and everything seems fine until I try the traffic (which I "used" a lot) and it says call for subscription. Wierd part is movies, sports, weather, gas, etc all work just fine. They can't seem to figure it out. I've done all there crazy steps, even pulled the fuse on the radio and I still can't get traffic to update.

Any thoughts? Anyone else had that issue?

Isn't "Traffic" part of NavTraffic rather than part of Travel Link? When they were trying to sell me a continuing subscription I thought there were three parts to it, one for the Radio, one for Traffic, and then Travel Link.

Yep, I think they forgot to enable "Sirius Traffic." Check out http://www.sirius.com/traffic

The footnote for Ford does suggest that Traffic is included with Travel Link on Ford vehicles, maybe the Sirius customer support folks you were working with forgot to click the little check box for "Ford vehicle" or "Travel included."

They have also been telling customers for nearly a year that you can soon combine XM & Sirius subscriptions for discounts... WHICH HASN'T HAPPENED.... Also started charging for ASCAP and other MUSIC FEES without including them in monthly charge, yet they are not negotiable....and are added on just like taxes.

My rate for a year was $95, which came to over $120. after taxes & fees.

Settled for re-install for 5 mo. at $19.95 which ended up at $25.30 with taxes/fees. Will cancel again after 5 mo and then wait for a deal!

If they were straight-forward, so would I... Never had an issue with XM (had it starting in 2003) unti purchased by Sirius.

Maybe if everyone would fight them... they would just get over their financial troubles and go bankrupt... and the new entity could be a bit more customer friendly... Know I'm just dreamin... but...????!!!!.....

Good Luck...

Wow, they really are a screwed up company...when I called to transfer my subscription from my old vehiclt to the SHO, they told me I had to suspend my subscription to the old truck and wait until the 6 months free expired to do anything, but they could only hold the subscription for 3 months and that I would have to call back (like around Nov. 18) to extend the hold for an additional 3 months. When we called back they informed us that they could not extend the hold and after a ton of runaround they refunded the balance of the subscription on my old vehicle and give us a deal of (don't quote me, 'cause I'm not sure exactly) but $140.00 for 1 year 180 for 2 years, or 340 for 3 years. Opted for the 2 year subscription, which then they informed us that our subscription would not begin until my 6 month free trial expired!!!! GO FIGURE!!! Anyway, everytime I try to get info from the travel link, I wait FOREVER, and still can't get gas prices or restaurant info for the area I live....which is really strange since it worked fine for about 2 weeks after I brought the car home!!!

They were willing to switch my XM subscription from my Denali XL to my 09' G8 GT and add it on to the 3 mo free XM , GM gives you. This was shortly after Sirius had purchased XM in Feb 09'.

I feel like every time I deal with them I get a "Sirius Screwing", but do like to listen to their music (preferred XM channels) and Fox News.

In the end... us greedy capitalists will pervail!!!!!

Not sure if I will buy Sirius since I don't listen to it very much anymore. I like having it if nothing else is on, and I like I that I can drive anywhere with the same stations, but the stations I listen to are playing lousy music. I have been listening to a local hd station which plays awesome music and only one 30 second commercial every 1/2 hour or so. The range on it is bad though.

Well after hours on the phone and couple phone calls to level 2 tech support (or whatever they call it), I called back tonight with the information you guys provided above and a nice lady (after I apparently had to explain how there system works) was able to fix my problem in 10 minutes. I was absolutely floored.

So I thank you my SHO brothers for passing on the valuable information, had I posted here 2 weeks ago this would have already been solved. It so sad they are so screwed. Even the lady that helped me tonight asked me if I had a radio subscription again, I'm like "Can't you freakin see it!" How screwed up are your systems.

If I never have to deal with them again it will be too soon...

Since we are on the Sirius topic. Have anyone noticed that some of their stations are mislabeled. For instance I believe channel 81 since I had my Sho it has been labeled Cinemagic but there is no Cinemagic on Sirius only Xm besides it was playing The Strobe which was taken off lately. However it is still saying Cinemagic so I decided to go through the channels and found another station 91 I believe is labeled as The Korean Station is playing MSNBC. Called Sirius up and got no clue how to fix it. So on Thurs since it is in the shop getting looked at for other problem I will get the radio man to check it out. If not I will be emailing Sirius or someone to fix. If I am paying might as well be right because if I don't pay they will sure as **** cut me off.

Doubt this is your radio or Ford's problem... Think the channel info comes from Sirius... For instance, today I decided to get back on with the 5 mo $19.95 special which is actually $25.31. Anyway, didn't go out immediately to re-activate( got tied up for about 30 min), so had to call again and have them send another signal.

Just left the ignition on and hoped for the best. When I came back 45 min. later, the info listed on 184, showed I needed to activate and gave me a phone #. However the radio had been activated and all channels worked as well as 184... It just displayed the WRONG info...

Really... HOW CAN A COMPANY SURVIVE WITH THIS IGNORANCE & STUPIDITY IN TODAY'S ENVIRONMENT???????

Guys, keep in mind, you can create an account on Sirius. It will show what plan you have, your radio number, options to renew, option to reset the radio yourself, when your account expires, etc. Just a thought.

I think it is a Sirius problem because when I had my portable radio it would update when the channel line are changed but some some reason not in my car. I am going till Thursday when I will get the car back and if still not fixed then I am going to call and asked to be to talk to a higher technical service rep and if not start emailing which usually gets their attention.

I bought a 2010 SHO this week which was driven by a Ford rep. The Sirius subscription had expired. I have an account for my wife's car and a Sportster at home. I called Sirius and after a painful 10 minute wait it only took five minutes to have Sirius up an running on my SHO. Not bad overall.

Ok so I spoke to Sirius radio about my channel line being wrong and this what I was told by a rep in the dept that handles factory installed radios. I was told basically that periodically timeframe unknown they send out a signal that updates the lineup and my car did not receive it. Now it has been a year and you mean to say that my car is the only one that has not been updated. I think they are full of crap now a few months okay a year and months nah. Needless to say I have sent both Ford and Sirius a complaint email and seriously thinking of heading back to the other side to Toyota because I never had an issues with my vehicles like i had with this.

What are you guys paying for Travel Link? It seems Sirius is charging me $5 for just Travel Link without traffic.
I thought Travel Link is $1.99/month and both services are $5/month

LOL! Sorry. Is Travel / Traffic link worth the price? Thinking about subscribing, but not sure if its worth it.
