OK the car died at the 2-3 shift{mtx 90 w/xj2}WOT . Acted like it ran out of gas, fuel pump was bad, replaced it still won't start . It did start but ran horrible [no mechanical noises ] for a few min. Heres the question I'm useing iridium plugs is it possible to foul or burn a plug that fast ? I had an appointment to get to this afternoon and the cars not at my house, so I'm all crabby and mad because my baby"s not running. I gues I'll go pull some plugs and check em out tomarrow is that even possible that thier the issue. Thanks in advance . BTW no codes just won't run.

got some pressure in the fuel lines?

It's got fuel press. now it does after new pump anyway . The tach is getting sig. while trying to start. I'm stumped and aggrovated. nothing alittle BUD LIGHT won't fix. Keep the ideas rolling.

Gas Flooded ?

Try to slam the gas pedal in floor (max gas) when starting , it cuts the fuel pump while the egine burns the remaining (too much)gas in the cylinders

I think I put a dent in the floorboard allready . I know it's wierd . Keep the ideas rolling 2,3,4,5,6.......heads are better than mine!

yea! I'ts bad I almost gave my self a heart attack today :banghd: getting stressed and then drove like crazy in my[85 f-250w/2600# trailer w/o trailer brakes] work truck to get payroll for my guys so they could get thier money before the banks closed . During the [way to fast for conditions ] trip it rained about 1.5-2" and stopped as soon as I got home, it's been a rough couple days. My SHO is my sanity amongst all the troubles of every day life. And I miss her ,Oh well there's allways tomarrow.:shappens:

Maybe the new fuel pump was bad out of the box? Or are you positive your getting good pressure at the rails. Try resetting the computer?

Yea it's got pressure at the rail now [there's a gauge on my regulutor]. I've reset th cpu allready. I'm goin to pull all the plugs and do some old school troubleshoting. I also need to check to see if my TwEECer has gotten loose I just read another post w/simaler problems related to a chip coming loose. It sucks that the car is'nt here so I can frusterate myself all night. THanks for all the ideas they help spark my brain.

I've changed all the plugs . They were all fouled out and wet w/fuel. The car started up and ran horrible . It's acting like it jumped time so I pulled the intake and upper timing cover . The timing belt is intact and appears to be tight. Is it possible to jump teeth? The only code was 211 [2 consecutive PIP signal .........] I think that one was from the way in witch it was running. I'm stumped it would almost have to be something mechanical at this point. I'm hoping someone with more knowledge than me has some ideas. Thanks, Craig

Someone can confirm this? Im not enough a **** in SHO problems yet...

211 is that horrible code...it means CPS time. but that doesnt much explain why the car runs, but not well...normally when the CPS takes a break, the engine will not run, or will run perfect, then quit.

look into testing the DIS coil first i think

I got so aggrovated I just started dissasembly. I've been putting off my 3.2 swap while I remodle my new house. I've almost got the place done then comes the new workshop! Once the shop is done I'll get back on the car. I can collect more parts and save some $ on insurance and gas. Insurance on 4 vehicles is killing me anyway. Thanks for all the help I geuss I have to put the ZEX on one of the work trucks to fill my need. Do you think I'll get funny looks racing with a load of material.
