I ordered a Vgate vLinker FS OBD2 USB Adapter and it arrived today. I have a laptop running Windows 10 and I installed drivers and configured the adapter as required. I can connect to it fine but it wont go any further. I have the car in accessory power mode. What am I missing or doing wrong? Thanks for any help.

Hey,

I'm stuck in the exact same situation. Got my Vgate vLinker adapter today and it's giving me the same message.

What did you mean when you said you weren't in "on". The rather basic instructions mention for a push-button start vehicle, press the "start button" twice without pressing the brake. All this does for me is turn the ignition on and then off again.

Also, did you go through the whole process of downloading the USB driver from http://ftdichip.com and then changing the Connection settings as stated in the instruction leaflet?

I'd appreciate the advice as I'm going mad here

I was in ACC mode. For me a long press without my foot on the brake works. 2 presses put me in accessory mode. If it's actually on the dash gauges will work. Fuel, check engine light, etc. After I figured that out it connected right away. Hope this helps
