Forscan issue

I filled out the Forscan form, requesting a Forscan license. What I got back was 13 lines of code, everyone that I have talked to about this has told me that the license key should read xxxx-xxxx-xxxx--xxxx. I'm a bit Leary of downloading the 13 lines of code to my laptop when others have stated it should be 4 sets of 4 numbers. Does anyone have any advice on this?

Here's a printout of the 13 lines of code. When it first appeared in my download folder, I saw that it was over 900 bytes, and that seems excessive for a 16 digit license key.

2 month license is not a 16 digit key, only paid 1 year license. If you followed the instructions at this link you will be OK.

I got the key installed, and it's ready to rock. Have a question: I want to increase the turn signal flashes from 3 to 5. The spreadsheet I have lists module 724-01-01 for the turn signal flashes, however the as-built data sheet that I downloaded doesn't have the same number of digits as the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet shows xxxx-x*xx-zz, the as-built sheet has 183E-E7D3-3D.

That is correct. The last two digits (zz) are a checksum. The last two digits are a checksum whether the line has 10 or 12 characters. Forscan will figure that. If you get an error when changing the value just accept it and continue.

Example, if you have a *=6, change it 8 for 4 flashes. If you have a *=7, change it to 9 for 4 flashes.
