I'm going to get you guys pysched up real quick. Just got my car back from Doug's shop last week and have already started to add my personal touches to it. My biggest thing I have to do was a Methanol Injection Kit. Doug and I both agreed to help keeping the air temps down was to either one, spray it with meth or two, intercool it. And the latter being a bit more involved. I will update with pics later this week. I just installed a boost gauge over this past weekend and have already began tearing into under the hood. It's gonna be a blast once all is said and done. Sounds like my 2010 may have an adversary sitting in its own yard. :naughty:

Here are some pics while I await some new bearings for the snout. All the raw pieces are off and ready for powdercoating. I've ran the trunk mount methanol kit up to the motor now and tapped the blower hat for the injector. Moving along nicely I must say. Once this is done, my Lightning will be going under the knife.:evilgrin:089

For the Lightning, the mother of all blowers to the right.:naughty: 039 1

yup...i've got wood. nice job.

Glad I could excite ya. :naughty: I, too, was excited as **** when I saw my car outside Doug's shop last month. I had the butterflies brother! :omgsho: Once I finesse things up a bit under the hood, install my steering column mounted boost gauge, switch out my Cobra brakes and install my carbon fiber cowl hood I should be done. And I emphasize "should".

SWEET ! ! !

It LIVES!

Props to the hard work and patience that goes into projects like this. Looks a LOT more service friendly than my setup. Blower snout and belt routing are quite a bit different. Any front cover trimming required? I had to shave a couple spots to clear the belt path.

Yes, Eric, it is alive and well. Just waiting on Doug for the new snout bearings. It came off fairly easy really, but I can tell Doug took some major thought into it to make it work. There is I believe one extra pulley installed to help with the belt wrapping and the belt is on the opposite side the alternator pulley now. The only clearance issue I can tell is the passenger strut area. Had to be "massaged" to clear the pulley.

I'm getting lazy in my old age and am against shifting gears. The Quaife does sound good, but the modding on the Gen 3 now is pretty much done.

And that Whipple doesn't stand a chance of fitting on that motor. Plus, if that Whipple is blowing holes in stock 5.4 blocks imagine what it would do to a 3.4 Yamahammer motor. VERY BIG BOOM!! :laugh_ti:
I'll get pics of the aluminum risers for the intake. The lower intake had to be modded to accept the 42# injectors and fuel now enters on both sides of the rail so it does not starve itself. The risers are billet aluminum and look sweet. Too bad the new intake hides them. Imagine one helluva a phenolic spacer bro, but on top the lower intake.

Great work.
Kit prices? Now that you are the first, what is the cost to replicate?
Good job, thanks for the pics!

And it was four years in the making bro. Funny thing is I have another set up like Carter has with me right now. Doug decided to go roots style and now I have an extra supercharger set up taking up space. Hmmm....

Wow that is absolutely badass.:omgsho:

Any videos yet?

No vids yet, but I will post them as soon as I can. Gotta figure out how to use my new camcorder.

Great work.

Well, it depends now. Doug and I decided we should have gone turbo. You would need to get a hold of him on the price though. He cut me a deal, and I also got a beefed up tranny that should be bulletproof he says. Basically, his goal was to keep it around the V-6 supercharger price range.

So what are you gonna do with that other blower?

And which one? I have four blowers here now. See above reply for the Gen 3 s/c kit. But, if you are referring to the black Whipple, its new home will be atop the motor in the Lightning. I'm looking to be pushing some major horses with that set up. :dribble:
