Have any of you guys fabricated any sort of foglight screen to protect the lenses from flying objects? If so, what kinds of mateirals have worked well in doing so? I've had two pairs of stock foglights since I've had my car for 15 years, and had them broken by flying rocks. I put some PIAA's in from Christmas, and found that replacement lenses are not cheap. Thanks in advance as always!! :thumb:

The C5 Z06's came with foglight screens. My father has a coupe, and he ordered the Z06 screens to put on his. The bumper is already fabricated where they just snap in and out. The only way that I can think of making one is using some double sided sticky tape or something along those lines, but I don't know how hard they would be to remove later on.. Plus, I'm not sure where I can find a mesh material strong enough, but isn't too "shiny" to reflect light from the foglights.

i cleaned, stripped and painted the foglight housings with flat black, then cut .08" Lucite to fit over the hole and used RTV to hold em in. right now, my only problem is water splash hitting the backside of the cover and, with fog lamps installed, makes for a difficult to clean area. but soon im gonna remedy that.

wanna see a few pics ?
