I was taking out my fog lights last night to clean them out and stuff. well i cleaned out the fog lights really good, even on the inside as well. But when i noticed something about one of them. th reflective material in the back was either dirty or just gone. After i dried them, i re installed them, and the one that had the reflective material was very bright!
So i got to thinking about what i could do for now. Then it hit me. My friend has one of his bumpers from his focus over here. the stock one, with the fog lights! Yes!!! So i go and get the fog lights, and see if they fit. WTF!! They do!
I mean they fit as good as the stock housing fit. I mean the lights into the housing not the housing to the bracket.
any ways i hook them up, and turn on the fog lights with the parking lights, I did the trick were you can have them on with the parking lights. And they put out a very nice straight flat beam! I was like wow! I had the car in the garage/ barn, and it projected them all the way to the other end, about 70 feet, and they were bright as well. this was with the flouresent lights on as well. Although i didnt mount them up, i know they would have preformed very well, which is why i am going to do it right now. but i need some advice on how to mount them up. i took of the bracket for the stock lights, and man they are heavy! But is there any way to mount them other than the bracketry? I know without a pic its gonna be hard, but they are stock 02' fog lights from a focus, so they are shaped like a sharks fin, thats the only way i can describe them. they dont fill the holes as good as the stockers, but when on you cant tell the difference! Any comments or help is welcome! TIA..

C'mon ford! Anyways, i cleaned them all up, the inside and the lens. i used wd-40 and 1000 grit sand paper. they came out about 50% clearer. but still had a slight film on them.
