I did the fog light switch mod yesterday and everything seemed to work fine, except the orange light that used to stay on if the fog lights were on doesnt come on anymore...is this normal.

That's not normal, I did the fog lamp mod last week and the light on the button still works. Check your connection again.

I think the problem is the bulb burnt out which I have been trying to find for weeks. I posted a request for information on where these bulbs may be obtained because Ford does not sell them nor do they sell the switch anymore (obsolete #F2DZ 15A214 A). Anybody know where they can be bought, I'm up in the Great White North.

I am wondering... If I do this mod, will the foglamps dim along with the interior lights since they are being connected to dash light power source?

I really want to do this since my headlights sometimes don't want to come on, the dimmer stalk is worn out and does not make connection sometimes, so the headlights just go out altogether, but the parking lights still work all the time.

BTW...

I found replacement lamps in the switch at Autozone, Sylvania Part# 2721, 2 bulbs, $1.79. This is for an '89 though, Gen2 switches may use different bulbs.
