Fluid changes

im going to try and change the fluids/oils in my 13 PP this weekend. I know i have seen a thread on this somewhere but i cant seem to find it.

Basically im wanting to change the fluids for the tranny, PTU, and Diff. And trying to see if anyone has tips/recomendation. Or if anyone knows of a good writeup that i cant seem to find.

Ideally, you would have the SHO on a lift, but if you can have all 4 corners on jackstands, that works well too.

Trans is pretty straightforward, you will need 15 quarts of fluid to do a 3 time drain & fill, simulating what a flush achieves. 5 quarts or so comes out each time.

Popular aftermarket brands include Amsoil, Royal Purple, etc. Motorcraft is fine, as long as you don't test out the "performance" part of the SHO

Thanks, ive got access to a lift so it will be easy. Thanks for the info man. Does the maual say what weight gear oil to put in the tranny? I was planning on RP since i can get that locally and i hear their gear oil is very good.

The manual does specify all that info. The PTU uses 75w140, and the RDU uses 80w90.
