I know that my first five posts need to be approved. I am pretty sure that I have posted more than five times (though my count says "5").

Other than in my introduction thread, I have not seen any of my other posts (or a thread I tried to start) appear. All attempted posts except for my introduction post have been in the GEN IV section. How long does the approval process normally take?

By the way, I am impressed so far with the professionalism of this forum. For those who have not been around other Auto Forums, you don't know how lucky you are.

Thanks.

Todd

depends on what section you posted in, not every section counts toward your post count;)

there is a few sections that do not count. When did bizzy start a 5 post rule? First time i heard of that

I was a good boy and tried to read all the rules before posting. :angelnot: I got that info in a sticky in this section addressed to new members. I know first hand what a pain it is when newbies come on board and don't read the rules or ask a question that has been discussed to death without doing a search.

All my attempted posts have been in the Gen IV section, this thread, and my introduction thread.

Thanks for the responses. Hopefully I will be approved and be able to converse soon.

These rules are there only to limit spammers from spreading crap all over , while new legit members have to use a little patience at first. Hang in there you should be all good soon.

A section moderator has to approve your post for it to become visible.

By some strange coincidence, it looks like there are no moderators assigned to the Gen IV sections so no one has seen your messages.

I guess that explains it. Just a glitch. Thank you.

Too bad, I really wanted to become involved here and don't want to (and won't) just go to other forum sections and spam useless comments to get my posts up. Can't stand trolls, and can't stand folks who comment just for the sake of making a post.

Hopefully it all gets resolved or a moderator gets assigned and sees this thread!

Looks like Bizzy now has a night job and has been pretty "bizzy" lately. She hasn't posted since before Thanksgiving. Hope all is well with her as it's unusual not to hear from her in almost two weeks.

I sent her a PM to see if she can take care of it.

I am not sure if it was your email or coincidence. But, in any event, I am all set now and appreciate your willingness to assist. Looking forward to becoming a member of the SHO family in a few months and hopefully contributing something positive to the forum.

Hey Todd, an enthusiastic welcome  I sent Bizzy an email a few weeks ago and haven't heard back. I didn't realize she was working nights though. I worked nights a few years so I know what it's like, I pretty much felt like crap all the time Anyways, glad to have you aboard!

Thank you. I continue to be impressed with this forum.

You should be all set, but if not just let me know and I'll take another poke around to see what's going on. Sorry for the delay, things have been very busy here as of late.
