How do you know that it needs replacing? It sits on the fuel rail, in between the snakes and the crossover tube. It has a vacuum line attached to it. The little round thingy next to it without the hose is a pulse dampener. It's very difficult to get the regulator out without removing the intake first.

Have you thought about getting an aftermarket FPR that SHONUT sells?

I WAS THINKING OF THAT ONE FROM SHONUTT i was assuming it was bad i dunno the car seems to be running fairly good but somtimes when i start it i hear a gurgling noise coming from the feul tank area .. when this happens the car runs rough until i put in gear and drive it for a couple seconds .. i had replaced my feul pump the proper one and the filter and strainer ..it still made the gurgle noise after the replacment and the stuttering at start up i ran both sets of code tests and got 111 .both times and also i noticed when the car is not stuttering and starts good i can hear an air rushing noise coming from the rear like a vac leak but i cant see anything the car seems a little slugish ..i have no leaks or drips no feul smell.. mufflers and welds are air tite i just assumed it was the fpr that would cause this any ideas on what it could be

Your pressure regulator is not the problem. Did you replace your pump yourself? Did you just replace the pump or the entire assembly? Their is a small orange rubber 'duck call' looking check valve. That is your problem.

Ford part number E53Z9H318-A, less than $5 at the stealership. But, requires taking the pump out again to replace.

I also get the gurgling. What causes it is that the lines doesn't hold pressure and the fuel gets hot and makes vapors in the fuel lines. The noise your hearing is the air going back into the tank. Anything that could cause the fuel pressure not to hold can be a issue. FPR or a leaking injector could be causing this or a bad check valve in the fuel pump. That little rubber valve is not going to hold much or any pressure in the line.
Can you get your hands on a fuel pressure tester?
