after much soul searching, loading the forum with stupid questions and input from you guys this is final design for the festiva / sho swap.

..... did I forget anything?

3.2 guts in a bored 1994 3.0 block, new rings, seals, bearings and gaskets.
heads had slight shave, a couple thousands max just to make them straight.

a/c delete
p/s delete
shosource UD pulley

190 walbro pump ( works fine with factory regulator even at idle)
3.2 injectors
36 / 31 MM over sized valves
bronze guides
"austrailian" valve springs
shonut +20 cams
mild port clean up ( nothing dramtic, cast flash clean up and matching)
BBB butterflies, BBB air horns in plenums
1 5/8 stainless long tube headers, dual cats / mufflers
aluminum flywheel
quaife
80mm lincoln maf
69mm TB
LPM ( with new shosource tune)

The car looks like it going to come in at 2300 lbs so the loss of torgue at low rpm hopefully will not be an issue.

Do you not like PS? or does it limit performance? The ps pump died in my fiesta so im just wondering :D!
No need for it in something that small, and im going to guess the front end will be pretty light as there's nothing in there.

real men dont need power steering or an auto tranny :)

Oh jeez... i have a manual in my car but my motor is up front and its a pain in the ass getting out of tight spots and i dont want to ruin the steering rack :(

Are you to make any kind of shield between you and the engine? (Noise and safety sake)

Inner fender covers between the wheels and engine bay?

I've been watching this for quite a while over on FB. I just have a couple questions:

Are those ground control coilovers or something else?

What are "Australian" valve springs?

Looks great, btw!

The coil overs are "home made".

KYB struts with the coil perch cut off and sleeves/ adjusting rings installed to hold the Qa1 progressive rate coil over springs. I made up a set of rod ends ( bored and install helicoils )to match the thread of the shaft. I used a set of Mustang camber plate in the front with a set of sleeves I made on a lathe to match the diameter of the KYB shaft

I use KYB because they tend to be a little softer then others and with the reduced weight Im hopping they will work, The other reason was I needed a contstant diameter strut for the front end. I hone out the front spindles and slid the strut hosing down into it about 4 inches to reduce its heigth to match the room I had to work with on the festiva. Heck I can always change them.

"Australian valve springs" are aftermarket springs sold by FPS, they come from austrilia

any more pics???? stainless headers and exhaust.

Paint will be silver with some minor black around the side glass, pretty much a stock looking festiva LX paint , this is also the original color of the festiva and I wont have to re do the engine ( gas tank ) compartment. Yes Im doing the paintinting. Heres my Nova I did a couple years ago. I did all the work on this one too.
