Why? Because I don't have room for another car and I have decided to move forward with the next toy project with the wife’s blessing. So its time for me to sell my beloved SHO. I never thought I would ever say that, considering I have owned her since Dec ’98 and I have done so many modifications to her. I have taken her just about as far as I could while still remaining a comfortable and fun fair weather daily driver. She has always hibernated over the winters and has not seen too many rainy days either.
She is a Moonlight Blue 1995 MTX - only factory option is remote key-less entry. She has 86.6K miles. She was retired from HPDE track duty last year after a fun day at Nelson Ledges and I already have sold the track rims/tires. I am asking $8.5K OBO. Please note that I have a $10K rider on my insurance policy to cover the modifications.

I have lots of photos of her from the just before she went into hibernation last fall. She is not "perfect", but she has won several Gold awards including a best of SHOw award at the 2009 convention (a true honor) and she won an award in the platinum class last year, even though I really didn't prep her for the car show very well.
The bad - the rear passenger side emergency brake cable is dragging, again and will most likely need replaced, again. The molding around the windshield is split (?) and needs replaced. There is a bit of corrosion under the trim in the back driver's side door window frame – it’s been there for years, just never got around to fixing it. The front passenger window only works with the driver’s door wide open - I have no idea why, most likely a pinched wire in the driver's door harness. The headlamps are aged – not yellow, but micro fracturing. That's it. I may even fix a couple of these things before she leaves my care.
I would like to find her a good home. I am not going to part her out and I do not need a trade. A couple of guys here have driven her on the street as well as the track. I think the best complement that I was every paid was by Mark Nunnally when he said she was about the best balanced SHO in terms of power, brakes and handling, that he had ever driven.
I have reams of files, full detailed maintenance/modification and fuel logs, notes and pile of receipts that I will never add up.
Serious inquiries ONLY - please contact me via E-mail; [email protected] for photos, details and offers.
Thanks again.
John
