The fel-pro head bolt set seems to be the only reasonable set of head bolts available for around $35. I located a set of Ford ones for $150, but that is rather steep. Is their anything wrong with the Fel-Pro ones, has anybody used them and had problems, or no problems?

Thanx, Doug

I hope there's no problems, since I just used a set of the FP bolts in my engine.

FYI, they don't come with washers, so you'll have to supply your own.

heh, I'm with K-Dawg on this one, since I just received a set of those head bolts.\

Stupid torque-to-yield.

Looking over my 1990 ford shop manual and also the Autozone guide, I don't see anything about the bolts being torque to yield. Is it really necessary to replace them?

Dunno. I'd rather pay the $30 or whatever and be safe, than having something happen while driving it a year later.

PanamaPat has reused his several times on his 445whp SHO with no problems. AutoSHO has reused his as well with no problems...

Still better to use new fasteners if you have 'em IMHO.
If he has not blown one off.... I think you'll be alright reusing them.

EDIT: Now that I think of it, he's reused the bolts on his 520whp SHO too...
