Since owning my 94 ATX, with 77K, the needle won't even make contact with L in NORMAL. I have driven the car on a few 30 miles trips? The car warms up properly so........Don't worry about it??? BAD THERMOSTAT? Maybe sticking?

Thanks Again

i changed my Thermostat when i had a similar problem... and nothing happened... i changed the sender unit for the gauge (near the thermostat housing), and all was good! :thumb:

id try that... its like a $6 part and if you do change the t-stat, use a motorcraft, its the right size and has the "jiggle" valves, some aftermarkets dont have these... and theyre a good thing to have.

Check your actual temperature of your cooling system with a non-contact IR thermometer to see what it's actually running. Once you know what the typical operating temp is, you can decide whether it needs "fixed" or not.

A low dash guage reading is very common. It is usually due to either a sending unit or the guage itself that has gone "bad".

Since your indication is in the "NORMAL" range, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
