I would say the relay in the CCRM stuck. If it happens again give it a wack.

I have the opposite problem. My fan has not been kicking on when needed, and hence my car has been running really hot lately. It is also losing coolant from somewhere, however, i can find no leaks. This all started after I took my intake off for cleaning. I reconnected all of the coolant lines, and triple checked them before i started my car. the coolant lines by the throttle body are not leaking, the upper and lower radiator hoses arent leaking, so I'm beginning to think that maybe a head gasket has gone bad?? I dunno. I just need to figure out why the fan stopped running.

It doesn't run at all? There are two speeds for the fan and two relays in the CCRM to control this. I would first apply 12v directly to the fan to see if it works. Then go backwards to the CCRM or the ECT sensor.

What does CCRM stand for? I have a new ECT to put in, but I just couldn't get the old one out when i tried. Where is the ground for the cooling fans at? It may have been disconnected.
