Wow.. a car that has been sitting for 5+ years failed. I vene pulled the PIP and it helped a bit but still failed. It failed the first time HC's and NOx. PIP pulled, it still failed HC, but not by much. So I get the bright idea to put plugs and wires on it (it did need wires) I just knew it would raise the HC's, and it did. So I guess I'll be putting a Y-pipe on it. Converters are dead from all the cranking they did on it when the ground wire was off of the intake. I drained 2+ quarts of gasoline out of the oil pan when I first got it :snicker: Morons. I was hoping the PIP would do the trick, but not this time! :type:

washed a cylinder badly? how much blow-by are you getting? If your compression & leak numbers are pitiful, you're possibly looking at a re-ring / valve seals otherwise you're pushing the oil back into the new cats very quickly. I'd be checking the bearings out quickly too.

Good luck!
