I am working on my Dad's '92 SHO that has the JBL factory components installed.

The factory head unit has power and I can tune in radio stations change the volume etc... however I have no sound from any speakers including the Sub woofer. Is there a Fuse or something that is not allowing the amps to get power??? any help or ideas is appreciated

You shouldn't have a blown fuse, if the radio has power there should be sound. You may have a connection issue behind the radio, or a connection issue at one of the amplifiers. If all connections look good I would guess you may have a bad amp. You can bypass the amps to see if the speakers work at least. That is where I would start.

Amp most likely went. Of three '92s I've had or seen, all of them were toast.

I’m putting in a jvc Kd x350 BTS In a 95 SHO I’ve heard if you have an enternal amp that you have to by pass stock amp. What do you consider and internal amp This is just an $89 head unit and I don’t think it puts out more than 14 watts a channel I also want to put in a soundsrream preamp equalizers has anybody tried this before I’ve got tooth correct wiring harness for the head unit Thanks for any help
