Has anyone used an Toll Road EZ pass in their SHO? Not sure if the signal will go thru the windshield. Also where do you mount it? the front facing camera is where the primary and secondary mounting location are for the tranponder. (although I won't mount it since it will be used in multiple cars)

Thanks for any help

No issues in my 2016. Mounted top right of mirror. No issues mounted horizontally. Tried mounting it vertically at first, more hidden, but that didnt work well. Had one of the newer short ones.

Yeah, no problems with my 2013, mounted under the mirror - one of the older big ones. When I got my 2016, I didn't put it back up, but I went into Manhattan a few times (from Long Island) and just threw it on the dashboard and it still worked. Same with my 2018 a month later.

I've never had an issue in my '13 mounted to the right of the mirror. I have the big old white one. Can't see it from the driver's seat, but looks gaudy from outside. Wish it was black.

I recall on option for a license plate mounted version, but recall that it wasnt available in VA, that might be something to look into. We've moved from VA to CA so the state just sucks all of our money up period. No need for fancy boxes.

At least not in our part of the state. Yet.

I saw the license plate option, but we will be using it in multiple vehicles, so not going to permanently mount anything. Thanks again!

The window version works fine. I got a suction cup mount and can remove it when I leave the area. I install when travel back through the area and remove after leaving. The Suction Cup Mount also allows me to remove and keep in my bag if flying. I can set the EZ Pass up for a rental car and remove when the car turns in. Here in Texas they use a NON removable transponder that has to be removed and deactivated with each vehicle.

I can personally speak for the fact that the EZ Pass works for the entire system at least the Northeast Portion including New England, Mid Atlantic, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin if it stretches that far yet. When I set up my account Ohio was in the system so I was able to drive from VA-MN and not miss a beat. Some of the more modern designs allow you to maintain normal interstate speeds by use of dedicated EZ PASS travel lanes. I got a pack of two from Amazon for around $10 bucks just a simple molded semi-flexible wire and a suction cup.

If it is a rental I put it on the drivers side of the inside mirror as to reduce risk of forgetting it. For my own vehicle I put it on the passengers side since the NTTA Toll Tag is on the drivers side.

I have a section cup mount as well. I have done under and to the right of the mirror/camera sensors but after the dash cam install I put it low and all the way to the left up against the A pillar. No issues with it.
