has any one used thermosteel on a leaky catalytic converter?

I want to patch the cat with this stuff to get it to pass inspection and was wondering if any one has used it.

I plan on replacing the Y-pipe in a few months and just need the patch to hold temporarily for now to pass inspection.

I've never used it, but it looks like it should work fine. As long as you let it cure before starting the car.

You can try it, but they get hot! Best bet would be to go to your local exhaust shop & have it temp welded.

This stuff is suppose to 'Withstands temperatures to 2400° F / 1316° C' and I don't think it will get that hot.
