three years ago we bought this car because we needed a 4 door 4 increasing family size and stay sportingly performance wise. put 40k on her and now its starting to test me.mostly all hot or cold startups it will shut rite back down,u can keep it running if u give it fuel or turn up idle speed;goin down the road it will just shut of generally under 2k rpm but it will start back up but it may shut back down again also without fuel. replaced fuel filter 1k ago and throtle position switch 3k ago.could it be a bad tps switch again? some people think cam and crank speed sensors maybe? give me some advice please because ill walk before ill drive a gm product.sorry guys for the no info duh.... its a 94sho 3.2 atx with 144k miles real damn dependable too thats what is so frustrating about the whole deal,to my knowledge nothing was ever cleaned on the engine interior thanks for the speedy replys and once again sorry for the incovenience.

I would also recommend cleaning the IAB first. It may not do anyting but I had a similar experience with my MTX having rough startup and stalling. Also, try to run the codes with a jumper wire. If you need help doing so then just ask. I know the first few times I ran codes myself it was a little confusing.

You should be careful in cleaning IABs. Some have a teflon coating inside that a cleaner will actually remove. If the IAB was not bad in the first place, it will get bad soon thereafter if the teflon is gone. IABs that cannot be cleaned are sometimes (not always) marked with a tag that says "do not clean". Always check the shop manuals before cleaning an IAB. If you have a non-cleanable IAB and you determine it is dirty, there is probably no harm in trying to clean it.

Some throttle bodys are that same, by the way - they also have a teflon coating. Both the IAB and the throttle body on my 95 ATX are "do not clean" types.
