EVAP Purge Valve change

Anyone ever done this? It's the small canister on the firewall just above the alternator. Any suggestions as to an easy way to remove/install? Those stupid hose "clips? do not like me and are not cooperating. Any help would be great. I have a 96 V8.

I think you squeeze the clips to get the hose off. All I can really remember is it's a lot easer to do when the motor is out of the car.....

+1. Even with the engine out, it's a real pain to get the hose off.
