Engine troubles again

Today i was on the high goin about 50 when i put it into 5th no problems then my car hits about 55 and that's when trouble starts my girlfriend was in the car with me my car would not go above 55 i almost oput it to the floor in 5ht and it took about 8-9 seconds for the car to move faster then 55 and still took awhile to get to 70 this happens in 1st sometimes too if i push the pedal down a good amount in first not where it takes a few seconds to start to move it is wired i think i should go get a compression test anyone have any other suggestions Thanks alot jason

Check the throttle cable, make sure it's not kinked or loose at the throttle body or at the peddle.

Not sure how current maintenance stuff is so: check for codes,wires & plugs, compression test, check for spark- coil pack ect. Check back and keep us up to date.

Step 1, get a truck. Step 2, get some cash, Step 3, drive said truck to Holland's in Billerica, Step 4, buy the sho motor there in the back left hand corner of the yard. Tranny is already off it.
