Ok ... my new installed engine may have a quirk yet...and wouldnt be a SHO if it didnt I guess.

My temp guage has been reading higher than it ever did on my old engine did..in the summer. Im up to the top of the O to middle of the N. Im fairly cirtain this isnt normal. My old one was usually around the A.

One of the few things what weren't changed...and I cant think why was the thermostat. Could that be what it is? Also any other options would be apprectiated. The electric fan does turn on though..and when it does the temp drops to mid R.

You need to read the temp. at the thermostat housing with infra red temp. gauge/gun when you reach the high temp point to find the accurate temp. (195F is good) The SHO dash gauges are unworthy of trust! coolant level? Is the radiator dirty resricting air flow, thermostat?, air temp. sender?, air temp. sensor? is the fan working?
