engine swap

i know this question might have been answered in the past. but i am new so bare with me. i bought this 96 sho busted cam. busted pocket too not enough to fix either anyways i have a wrecked 98 se 24 valve durtec. and i am planning a engine swap and changing pcm as well. i was wondering if anyone has done this before or heard of it being done ? and if so what all has to be changed? and also can a gen 2 intake fit the newer 24v engines? i think if i can find enough mods i can get the extra 30 hp to match the v8 model.

You might have to pull out both dashes and swap the dash harnesses as well to make it work. The V6 SHO intake will not fit a Duratec motor.

You would be better off selling/parting both cars and then buying a whole car.

Pull the head , check for a fubard piston . If the pistons are just dimpled w/smiley faces , check the valve seats , replace the bent valves , head bolts and gaskets , and put welded cams in it . Much easier/cheaper to do than a conversion .
